Lumen Radio is a Swedish deep tech company headquartered in Gothenburg. Their wireless solution is re-drawing the map for what a lighting project can look like. How do you create communication around a product that draws strength from invisibility?

From time-consuming and costly cabling to one simple click and you are done. That is what Lumen Radio’s wireless product W-DALI offers entrepreneurs in the real estate- and lighting sector. How do you grab that target group's attention? And tell them about a brand-new product?

    Driven by sustainability targets, buildings around the world are undergoing modernization projects to make their lighting systems smarter and more energy efficient. Upgrading an existing lighting system can be done in two ways – using cables or wirelessly. Lumen Radio is offering the latter. With their product, W-DALI the world’s first wireless DALI system, the company wants to target a new customer sector - entrepreneurs in the real estate- and lighting sector.

    Lumen Radio’s creative in-house team reached out to WAU. Together we set out to develop a video format that would resonate with the new target group. Now, back to the key question: How do you communicate the power of a product that draws its strength from invisibility?

    Solution

    With a focus on the benefits of using W-DALI, the creative team created an animated explainer video. Hero of the story is an electrician. Faced with the challenge of modernizing the lighting system in a five-story building he discovers W-DALI and cuts out all the complicated and costly rewiring. He installs W-DALI and in a few simple steps the new lighting system is installed. As Lumen Radio puts it - Wireless Without Worries. The video is currently spreading via Lumen Radio’s social channels.
