Take control | Qualisys

The film- and video game industries are the biggest users of motion capture technology today. Motion-tracking cameras can capture even the most subtle movements of an actor or object wearing markers – giving VFX producers the tools to make gaming ever more real.

Motion-capture technology company Qualisys supplies top-quality Arqus cameras for use in the gaming industry, and when the idea arose to showcase the precision and quality of the cameras, VFX producer Goodbye Kansas got on board.

As this was a multifaceted story, Whataboutus used the three-step content creation strategy of Hero-Hub-Help in this project. We produced three different videos with three different audiences in mind and three different key messages.

The Hero video, Take control, is Qualisys campaign trailer, designed to peak the audience’s curiosity with a story about motion control, visualised by the different stages of VFX-production; the Hub video, Pushing the limits, is the client case, told from from Goodbye Kansas’ behind-the-scenes perspective, to push content and nurture interest in the products; finally, the Help video, Unleash the potential, is the in depth story, told from Qualisys’ perspective, which provides more details on the technology and how it helps the industry.

For the video marketing campaign, a series of 20 and 30 second video ads was produced to drive traffic from social media to the Take Control campaign landing site.
